Terrence L. Salzman (“Terry”) is Principal of Salzman Real Estate Advisors, LLC (“SREA”), a full-service commercial real estate company focused on development, sales and leasing throughout the State of Florida. Terry has been active in commercial real estate since 1986 specializing in retail real estate development, acquisition, finance, portfolio dispositions, brokerage and property management. An accomplished and well-respected leader in the South Florida market, Terry has a diverse deal-making history and extensive real estate, governmental and business contacts coupled with a proven record of entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
In 2015, Terry and Robert Shapiro, another South Florida retail real estate veteran, entered into a partnership, Master Development Partners LLC, (“MDP”), to develop mixed-use projects throughout South Florida. MDP is a partner with Kimco Realty in the 3 million square foot Dania Pointe mixed-use development scheduled to complete its first two phases in late 2018.
Mr. Salzman served as Senior Vice President and Market Leader of Southern Florida for SRS Real Estate Partners (The Staubach Company) beginning in 2006 through 2011. SRS, with more than 20 offices worldwide, was the largest real estate firm exclusively dedicated to retail real estate in the United States. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Salzman formed Salzman Real Estate Advisors UK, a commercial real estate brokerage and investment company based in London, England operating in Europe, the UK and Florida.
Prior to relocating to Europe, Mr. Salzman was the Director of Retail Brokerage for South Florida for Cushman & Wakefield from 1997 to 2002. Mr. Salzman and a partner sold their company, Venturvest Realty Corporation, which they co-founded in 1989, to Cushman. Venturvest was one of the largest retail management and leasing companies in Florida at the time of the sale.
Mr. Salzman holds a BS in Finance and International Business from Florida International University and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute.
